The repertoire of a pianista does not have to never finish being increased. Therefore a panoramic vision of musical Literature and the evolution of the technique and the pianística interpretation will only be able to be had. In his Pensamientos musicales (Musical Thoughts) the Argentine composer and pianist Alberto Williams very well said: «to maintain a step ahead obtained, like a bandit who assaults a strength, a effort much greater is needed than the one than occurred to conquer it». That illustrates the work which I must make to maintain a repertoire, but thanks to God, often are the subconscientious one that solves the problems to us, and this I notice it when I retake works that did not touch already a time ago, and me the encounter more mature than the last time. I never touch a work twice followed of the same form. Treatment always of to be creative and that is not a reproduction of which it is written in the score, rather a production.
Of works of the traditional repertoire, we have enough references of like interpreting them, but attention: we do not let ourselves influence. The national schools also force, to know the diverse flexions characteristic of respective folkl, with their had taste and balance. Of each work interpreted, aside from the references about its author, we must have to also know, in addition to its technical characteristics (form, tonality, etc.) the year, place, circumstance of the composition, and if there is it, its dedication.
